Ichiban Izakaya - Japanesse Food AGAIN!!!!

I am back..!!
Yes again i went to Ichiban Izakaya again for dinner again, with the same person again!!

This time we ordered something else but maintaining my favourite Ramen and fried chicken

Tofu (cold dish)

While waiting for our dishes to come, the restaurant actually served some 'cold dish' to the customer. This time the restaurant had served us some cold tofu with a little bit kimchi on top of it.. The tofu taste was quite pleasant, quite soft. However the kimchi was kinda 'spicy' for me.


Ichiban Bento Set Side Dishes

Not long later, the side dishes of our Ichiban Bento set arrived.. The side dishes includes a bowl of salad, chawan mushi, miso soup and some fruits (green apple, honey dew and watermelon each one slice). The chawan mushi taste is very good. The textures is very soft and melt the moment it reaches my mouth . There are few slices of mushrooms and crab stick in the chawan mushi. However, i am not a fan of mushrooms and crab stick, so i leave it there for Kit to finish the job. Next my miso soup...yummy!!! I am really a fan of miso, any miso soup is fine with me!!
The salad taste like the usual salad. The lettuces, tomato and cucumber are fresh, i like the Japanese cucumber very much...


Miso Ramen


Gyoza

Next, the Miso Ramen arrived. Like my previous post, the miso ramen really taste good!! One of the best ramen that i had ever taste :) While i was busy eating the ramen, Kit's gyoza came. I only took one piece of the gyoza, as i wasn't too fancy about it.


Tempura Udon

Later, the Tempura Udon came. The Tempura Udon consists of a bowl of Udon soup, and a prawn, a slice of sweet potato and a slice of brinjal fried in tempura style. There are lots of soften seaweeds and 2 slices of fish cake (in pink colour flower pattern) served on top with the Udon. The udon taste like the ordinary udon, nothing special about it. But the soup is very clear and not very salty. It has a little bit taste of 'tea leaf' on it. Good for a simple meal.
Finally, the Ichiban Bento Set came together with my favourite fried chicken. Yummy!!...

The fried chicken taste remain like the previous time, very hot and crispy.. Taste good..


Unagi


Inari

The Ichiban Bento Set consists of some green peas, a slice of Unagi , 2 inari bean curb, sashimi and some fried dish (prawn, chicken and a small fish). I like the green peas very much. It is quite crunchy and nice to eat, a very good snack. The unagi taste was not bad. It is quite soft and the teriyaki sauce is not very sweet like the others. But i only had one bite on it, the rest are eaten buy Kit. The inari is served cold and the rice has lesser vinegar smell compare to the other inari that i had before, while the bean curb is quite soft.

Sashimi

As for the fried dishes, i took the prawn only. The boneless fried chicken taste like the fried chicken that we ordered ala carte. There is a lot of 'flour' or crumbs on the fried prawn, the prawn meat is very little only compare to the tempura prawn in my udon, feel a bit cheated when i bite on it.. :( As for the fried fish, i am not very sure what type of fish is it, i think is mackerel fish (if anyone know please tell me!!). I had a bite, it is very crispy.. Not sure if there are bones or it was fried till the bones are crispy and able to be eaten.

For the sashimi, there are 2 slices of salmon, tuna, sardine and octopus with some wasabi at the corner of the bento box. To be honest, i didn't eat any slice of it. hehehe... I am very full and not really a fan of sashimi. Kit finish it all and he mention that the salmon and sardine taste very fresh and nice. As for the tuna and octopus, it taste normal only nothing special about it.

Overall, i really enjoy having meal in this restaurant. (else i won't go back again :P). The must try items that i recommend are the Miso Ramen and Fried chicken.

OK rating time again...

p/s : they do give member card for their patron, RM20 is equal to 1 point. After certain point accumulated, u will get a free sake or voucher. The membership is free, but he member card privillage is not very attractive and benificial.

Ichiban Izakaya - Japanesse Food

This is my 1st entry on food !!

Actually i had some great meals before this. However, by the time i remember to take picture for my blog, the food already got half eaten.. so greedy!!!.

Anyway, last Saturday dinner, i went for Japanese food with MKit at Ichiban Izakaya. This restaurant is at Plaza Damas. The environment in this restaurant is quite good. The air cond is strong and the lighting is quite deem. Quite comfy for a decent dinner :)

As i wasn't too hungry during that time, we decided to order for sharing.

The first dish that arrived was, boneless fried chicken. This is one of my favourite dish whenever i go to any Japanese restaurant. :P

Boneless fried chicken eer...forgot the japanese name something Karange..

The chicken is well fried into golden brown and very crispy. Unlike other Japanese restaurant, Ichiban Izakaya served the fried chicken with some special sauce instead of mayonnaise. The special sauce taste like miso. I am a big fan of miso, so i really like the sauce!! I MKit only manage to grab 2 peice of chicken, while the rest are safe in my stomach hehe ....

Miso Ramen

Next, the Miso Ramen arrived!!!. Kit was so excited and nearly take a scoop of soup before i manage to capture the picture..Anyway, MKit ate half of the Ramen, and left most of the vegetables, some Ramen and lots of miso soup for me!! The Ramen taste was good and the vegetables are very fresh!!. The ramen is not over cooked and maintain its structure. The soup was nice not too salty and is hot!!!

Gyoza and Pan fried chicken wing

While eating my Ramen, our gyoza had arrived.. I am not a great fan of gyoza, but MKit like gyoza very much. I took one piece of gyoza while the rest was eaten by MKit. The gyoza filling was quite a lot. It taste like other ordinary gyoza , nothing special. Not long later, our pan fried chicken wing is here!!. I was quite excited when i look at it. MKit took the 1st piece, and i had the second one. The chicken wing is not marinated with any sauce, it just use salts to rub over the chicken wing and pan fried it. I find it too salty, but MKit said it was good! I think this chicken wing can fit well with a glass of sake or beer, not with hot ocha :S

Seafood Teppanyaki

Last, dish that we ordered was Seafood teppanyaki. It was just an ordinay seafood teppanyaki. It has lots of bean sprouts and capciscum, few pieces of sotong, a slice of salmon fish, and 3 prawns. I didn't taste the sotong, but the prawn and fish taste 'so so' only.

p/s- sigh..my N73 camera is not that good or maybe i am not very good in using the camera features, i will try my best to capture better picture next time.
