Last month, I went to get some information in Hong Leong Bank at Jalan Kuchai Lama.
After getting the details I want, Kit and I had decided to have our lunch nearby.
While walking along the shops lot we come across a restaurant name Chilli Padi. This restaurant is situated at the corner of the shop lots.
Inside the restaurant, there are quite a number of customer already dining in and enjoying their food.
There are plenty of seats and tables in the restaurant. There are also televisions inside to 'entertains' the customer while they having their meals. However, the restaurant is a bit dark to me.
Chilli Padi Restaurant
The restaurant certainly offer a wide variety in their menu.
There are local cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Indonesian cuisine and western cuisine, all available in the restaurant. However, while strolling at the menu, it certainly reminds me of Madam's Kwan and Sakura Restaurant. All these 3 restaurant offer the similar dish in the menu.
After about 15 minutes looking at the menu, Kit had decided to order Nasi Lemak while i had decided to try their Nasi Bojari. (Similar dish from Madam's Kwan&Sakura , want to compare the taste hehe....) I can't remember what drink we had ordered but i remember it was a fruit juice.
Anyway about 10 minutes time, Kit Nasi Lemak arrived to the table. It looks good and delicious.
The aroma of the fragrant rice certainly makes me feel hungry!!!.. The santan in the curry chicken also looks very tempting. The sambal ikan bilis is not too spicy just nice to be eaten with the rice. There are some acak (pickles), a half portion of boiled eggs, dried shrimp paste, 2 slices of cucumber and tomatoes as the side dish and decoration. The portion of the Nasi Lemak is quite big too. Overall it was a nice and hot nasi lemak. Good choice if you want to stick to local delight!
Nasi Lemak
About 5 minutes later, my Nasi Bojari arrived. The chicken is still very hot when it served to my table. It was fried to golden brown, a bit over fried but it is very crispy and tasty! The aroma of the rice is not as strong as Nasi Lemak but it still makes me hungry!! The side dish; beef rendang and sambal prawn are very tempting. The beef rendang is quite tasty, its texture remains soft even the beef is well cooked. The prawn is quite fresh and the sambal has a mixture of spicy and sour taste. There are also a half portion of half boiled egg, cucumber and tomatoes slices as the side dish and decoration in the Nasi Bojari. The portion is also quite big.. A good choice if you are very hungry!!!!Yummy!
Nasi Bojari
Conclusion, the presentation of the food certainly similar to Madam's Kwan and Sakura restaurant. The taste is also quite good. Not a bad choice!
